Added a new functions to handler API to forcefully abort_transaction, producing fake_trx_id, get_checkpoint and set_checkpoint for XA. Sergei Golubchik	ca5b1b5431	test both federated and federatedX in the federated suite. mysql-test/lib/My/Options.pm: My::Options::is_set() now matches both option names and values! mysql-test/lib/mtr_cases.pm: 1. don't merge --plugin-load here, it's too early 2. don't skip combinations that set --plugin-load just because the test needs another --plugin-load. Skip only if test's --plugin-load matches exactly --plugin-load of one of the combinations. 3. if skipping all combinations but one, still assign the test to the combination mysql-test/mysql-test-run.pl: 1. remove dead code - don't set variables that aren't used. 2. bugfix: allow one-letter combination names 3. in the command line, merge all --plugin-load options in one storage/federated/ha_federated.cc: bugfix: garbage character in the generated SELECT query	14 years ago

unknown	47c23a1128	Speed up mysql-test-run.pl. Problem was the parsing of test suite files for various tags and options. This was done inefficiently, and include files were re-parsed for every place they were included. This caused a delay of 20 seconds or so before the first test started to run. By parsing more efficiently and re-using first parse for subsequent inclusion of the same file, time spent parsing is reduced to less than 1 second, and start appears instantaneous. (With this patch, full ./mtr runs in 3 minutes on my laptop (release build.) mysql-test/suite/innodb_plugin/t/innodb_bug52663.test: Test is fairly slow, so try to avoid getting stuck with it at the end while other workers are idle.	15 years ago

unknown	92fc426386	Speed up `mtr --parallel=<lots>` by scheduling some slow tests earlier. The patch also fixes a race in rpl_stop_slave.test. On machines with lots of CPU and memory, something like `mtr --parallel=10` can speed up the test suite enormously. However, we have a few test cases that run for long (several minutes), and if we are unlucky and happen to schedule those towards the end of the test suite, we end up with most workers idle while waiting for the last slow test to end, significantly delaying the finish of the entire suite. Improve this by marking the offending tests as taking "long", and trying to schedule those tests early. This reduces the time towards the end of the test suite run where some workers are waiting with nothing to do for the remaining workers each to finish their last test. Also, the rpl_stop_slave test had a race which could cause it to take a 300 seconds debug_sync timeout; this is fixed. Testing on a 4-core 8GB machine, this patch speeds up the test suite with around 30% for --parallel=10 (debug build), allowing to run the entire suite in 5 minutes.	15 years ago
