Use start lsn of a log block as part of AES CTR counter. Record key version with each checkpoint. Internally key version 0 means no encryption. Tests done (see test_innodb_log_encryption.sh for detail): - Verify flag innodb_encrypt_log on or off, combined with various key versions passed through CLI, and dynamically set after startup, will not corrupt database. This includes tests from being unencrypted to encrypted, and encrypted to unencrypted. - Verify start-up with no redo logs succeeds. - Verify fresh start-up succeeds. The default behaviour of aria block-format is best-fit, meaning that rows gets allocated to page trying to fill the pages as much as possible. However, certain sql constructs materialize temporary result in tmp-tables, and expect that a table scan will later return the rows in the same order they were inserted. This implementation of insert-order is only enabled when explicitly requested by sql-layer. Pages are encrypted before written to disk and decrypted when read from disk. Each page except first page (page 0) in tablespace is encrypted. Page 0 is unencrypted and contains IV for the tablespace. FIL_PAGE_FILE_FLUSH_LSN on each page (except page 0) is used to store a 32-bit key-version, so that multiple keys can be active in a tablespace simultaneous. The other 32-bit of the FIL_PAGE_FILE_FLUSH_LSN field contains a checksum that is computed after encryption. This checksum is used by innochecksum and when restoring from double-write-buffer. The encryption is performed using AES CRT. Monitoring of encryption is enabled using new IS-table INNODB_TABLESPACES_ENCRYPTION. In addition to that new status variables innodb_encryption_rotation_{ pages_read_from_cache, pages_read_from_disk, pages_modified,pages_flushed } has been added. When AFTER_SYNC, the semi-sync wait will be done earlier, before the storage engine commit rather than after. Michael Widenius	5426facdcb	Replication changes for CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE - CREATE TABLE is by default executed on the slave as CREATE OR REPLACE - DROP TABLE is by default executed on the slave as DROP TABLE IF NOT EXISTS This means that a slave will by default continue even if we try to create a table that existed on the slave (the table will be deleted and re-created) or if we try to drop a table that didn't exist on the slave. This should be safe as instead of having the slave stop because of an inconsistency between master and slave, it will fix the inconsistency. Those that would prefer to get a stopped slave instead for the above cases can set slave_ddl_exec_mode to STRICT. - Ensure that a CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE which dropped a table is replicated - DROP TABLE that generated an error on master is handled as an identical DROP TABLE on the slave (IF NOT EXISTS is not added in this case) - Added slave_ddl_exec_mode variable to decide how DDL's are replicated New logic for handling BEGIN GTID ... Luis Soares	863d67e3ac	BUG#17460821: ASSERTION ERROR WHEN STOPPING SLAVE AFTER SEMI-SYNC ON MASTER IS DISABLED The assertion happens when: (i) the master and slave are configured to use the semisync plugin; (ii) the DBA disables semisync on the master; (iii) and he also unsets the option to wait for slaves ACK even if the semisync slave count reaches 0 during the waiting period. This combination of factors makes the server run into an assertion as soon as the last semisync slave disconnects and its dump thread exits. The root of the problem is the fact that when the dump thread disconnects and calls the observer hook transmit_stop, which ends up calling ReplSemiSyncMaster::remove_slave, there is no check whether the master has already disabled semisync or not. If it has, the then a second call to the switch_off member function must be avoided. The quick fix is to avoid calling switch_off if the DBA has disabled the semisync plugin interactively on the master. Also, the switch_off member function should only be called if the plugin has not been switched off already. This is basically the pattern throughout the rest of the semisync plugin and no other calls seem vulnerable to similar crashes/assertions. (This a backport of the patch to 5.5, which is also vulnerable.)	12 years ago

Problem: ======= If master is waiting for a reply from slave, at this time set global rpl_semi_sync_master_enabled=OFF, the master server will crash. Analysis: ======== When master is waiting for a reply from slave, at this time if semi sync is switched off on master, during switch off if active transactions are present the transactions will be cleared and "active_tranxs_" variable will be set to NULL. When the waiting master connection finds that semi sync is switched of it tries to access "active_tranxs_" without checking if the transaction list exists or not. Accessing NULL transaction list causes the crash.
