Mattias Jonsson	beedf6b261	Bug#12361113: CRASH WHEN "LOAD INDEX INTO CACHE" WITH TOO SMALL KEY CACHE The server crashed on division by zero because the key cache was not initialized and the block length was 0 which was used in a division. The fix was to not allow CACHE INDEX if the key cache was not initiallized. Thus never try LOAD INDEX INTO CACHE for an uninitialized key cache. Mattias Jonsson	e0887df8e1	Bug#11766249 bug#59316: PARTITIONING AND INDEX_MERGE MEMORY LEAK When executing row-ordered-retrieval index merge, the handler was cloned, but it used the wrong memory root, so instead of allocating memory on the thread/query's mem_root, it used the table's mem_root, resulting in non released memory in the table object, and was not freed until the table was closed. Solution was to ensure that memory used during cloning of a handler was allocated from the correct memory root. This was implemented by fixing handler::clone() to also take a name argument, so it can be used with partitioning. And in ha_partition only allocate the ha_partition's ref, and call the original ha_partition partitions clone() and set at cloned partitions. Fix of .bzrignore on Windows with VS 2010	15 years ago

Davi Arnaut	4f18083b08	Bug#42643: InnoDB does not support replication of TRUNCATE TABLE The problem was that TRUNCATE TABLE didn't take a exclusive lock on a table if it resorted to truncating via delete of all rows in the table. Specifically for InnoDB tables, this could break proper isolation as InnoDB ends up aborting some granted locks when truncating a table. The solution is to take a exclusive metadata lock before TRUNCATE TABLE can proceed. This guarantees that no other transaction is using the table. Incompatible change: Truncate via delete no longer fails if sql_safe_updates is activated (this was a undocumented side effect). libmysqld/CMakeLists.txt: Add new files to the build list. libmysqld/Makefile.am: Add new files to the build list. mysql-test/extra/binlog_tests/binlog_truncate.test: Add test case for Bug#42643 mysql-test/include/mix1.inc: Update test case as TRUNCATE TABLE now grabs a exclusive lock. Ensure that TRUNCATE waits for granted locks on the table. mysql-test/suite/binlog/t/binlog_truncate_innodb.test: As with other data modifying statements, TRUNCATE is still not possible in a transaction with isolation level READ COMMITTED or READ UNCOMMITED. Function specification: SHA2( string cleartext, integer hash_length ) -> string hash, or NULL where hash_length is one of 224, 256, 384, or 512. If either is NULL or a length is unsupported, then the result is NULL. The resulting string is always the length of the hash_length parameter or is NULL. Mats Kindahl	571843804c	WL#5151: Conversion between different types when replicating Row-based replication requires the types of columns on the master and slave to be approximately the same (some safe conversions between strings are allowed), but does not allow safe conversions between fields of similar types such as TINYINT and INT. This patch implement type conversions between similar fields on the master and slave. The conversions are controlled using a new variable SLAVE_TYPE_CONVERSIONS of type SET('ALL_LOSSY','ALL_NON_LOSSY'). Non-lossy conversions are any conversions that do not run the risk of losing any information, while lossy conversions can potentially truncate the value. The column definitions are checked to decide if the conversion is acceptable. If neither conversion is enabled, it is required that the definitions of the columns are identical on master and slave. The global variable can also be seen as a "signal post" or "flag mast". Then the signal is what is attached to the "signal post" or "flag mast". - send a signal: Assign the value (the signal) to the global variable ("set a flag") and broadcast a global condition to wake those waiting for a signal. - wait for a signal: Loop over waiting for the global condition until the global value matches the wait-for signal.
