Mattias Jonsson	16c8298a85	Bug#42438: Crash ha_partition::change_table_ptr There was two problems: The first was the symptom, caused by bad error handling in ha_partition. It did not handle print_error etc. when having no partitions (when used by dummy handler). The second was the real problem that when dropping tables it reused the table type (storage engine) from when the lock was asked for, not the table type that it had when gaining the exclusive name lock. So that it tried to delete tables from wrong storage engines. Solutions for the first problem was to accept some handler calls to the partitioning handler even if it was not setup with any partitions, and also if possible fallback to use the base handler's default functions. Solution for the second problem was to remove the optimization to reuse the definition from the cache, instead always check the frm-file when holding the LOCK_open mutex (updated with a fix for a debug print crash and better comments as required by reviewer, and removed optimization to avoid reading the frm-file). mysql-test/r/partition_debug_sync.result: Bug#42438: Crash ha_partition::change_table_ptr New result file using DEBUG_SYNC for deterministic results. mysql-test/t/partition_debug_sync.test: Bug#42438: Crash ha_partition::change_table_ptr New test file using DEBUG_SYNC for deterministic results. sql/ha_partition.cc: Bug#42438: Crash ha_partition::change_table_ptr allow some handler calls, used by error handling, even when no partitions are setup. Alfranio Correia	95e420c636	BUG#48506 crash in CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS <existing_view> LIKE <tmp_tbl> with RBL When binlogging the statement, the server always handle the existing object as a table, even though it is a view. However a view is handled differently in other parts of the code thus leading the statement to crash in RBL if the view exists. This happens because the underlying tables for the view are not opened when we try to call store_create_info() on the view in order to build a CREATE TABLE statement. This patch will only address the crash problem, other binlogging problems related to CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS LIKE when the existing object is a view will be solved by BUG 47442.	16 years ago

Did some encapsulation in THD : aggregated thd_query and thd_query_length into a LEX_STRING and made accessor and mutator methods for easy code updating. 3. In fact, 'DROP TEMPORARY TABLE ...' statement should never be binlogged in RBR no matter if the table exists or not. This patch addresses this by checking whether we are dropping a temporary table or not, when building the custom drop statement.	16 years ago

This happens in the flush phase of a resize and demands direct file I/O. Care is taken for secondary requests (PAGE_WAIT_TO_BE_READ) to wait in any case. Moved block status changes behind the copying of buffer data. key_cache_insert() does now read the block if the caller did supply less data than a full cache block. key_cache_write() does now take care of parallel running flushes (BLOCK_FOR_UPDATE, BLOCK_IN_FLUSHWRITE). . Changed free_block() to un-initialize block variables in the correct order and respect an exceptional BLOCK_IN_EVICTION state. . Changed flushing to take care for parallel running writes. The mysql server option 'sync_frm' is ignored when table is created with syntax CREATE TABLE .. LIKE.. Fixed by adding the MY_SYNC flag and calling my_sync() from my_copy() when the flag is set. In mysql_create_table(), when the 'sync_frm' is set, MY_SYNC flag is passed to my_copy(). unknown	fce4fa362c	BUG#45574 CREATE IF NOT EXISTS is not binlogged if the object exists There is an inconsistency with DROP DATABASE\|TABLE\|EVENT IF EXISTS and CREATE DATABASE\|TABLE\|EVENT IF NOT EXISTS. DROP IF EXISTS statements are binlogged even if either the DB, TABLE or EVENT does not exist. In contrast, Only the CREATE EVENT IF NOT EXISTS is binlogged when the EVENT exists. This patch fixes the following cases for all the replication formats: CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTS. CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS, CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS ... LIKE, CREAET TABLE IF NOT EXISTS ... SELECT. sql/sql_insert.cc: Part of the code was moved from the create_table_from_items to select_create::prepare. When replication is row based, CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS.. Bug was that a non partitioned table file was not converted to system_charset, (due to table_name_len was not set). Also missing DBUG_RETURN. And Innodb adds quotes after calling the function, so I added one more mode where explain_filename does not add quotes. But it still appends the [sub]partition name as a comment. Also caught a minor quoting bug, the character '`' was not quoted in the identifier. Luis Soares	cf505e4494	BUG#43046: mixed mode switch to row format with temp table lead to wrong result When using MIXED mode and issuing 'CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE t_tmp', the statement is logged if the current binlogging mode is STATEMENT. This causes the slave to replay the instruction and create the temporary table as well. If there is no switch to ROW mode, and later on a 'DROP TEMPORARY TABLE t_tmp' is issued, then this statement will also be logged and the slave will remove/close the temporary table. However, if there is a switch to ROW mode between the CREATE and DROP TEMPORARY table, the DROP statement will not be logged, leaving the slave with a dangling temporary table. This patch addresses this, by always logging a DROP TEMPORARY TABLE IF EXISTS when in mixed mode and a drop statement is issued for temporary table(s). mysql-test/suite/rpl/r/rpl_temp_table_mix_row.result: Updated result file. mysql-test/suite/rpl/t/rpl_temp_table_mix_row.test: Added test case. sql/sql_table.cc: When dropping table(s) in mixed mode and current statement logging is ROW, builds an extra DROP TEMPORARY TABLE IF EXISTS for temporary tables that are being dropped. Nurnberg	74deaae946	Bug#43508: Renaming timestamp or date column triggers table copy Altering a table to update a column with types DATE or TIMESTAMP would incorrectly be seen as a significant change that necessitates a slow copy+rename operation instead of a fast update. There were two problems: The character set is magically set for TIMESTAMP to be "binary", but that was done too deep in field use code for ALTER TABLE to know of it. Now, put that in the constructor for Field_timestamp. Also, when we set the character set for the new replacement/ comparison field, also raise the "binary" field flag that tells us we should compare it exactly. That is necessary to match the old stored definition. Next is the problem that the default length for TIMESTAMP and DATE fields is different than the length read from the .frm . The compressed size is written to the file, but the human-readable, part-delimited length is used as default length. IIRC, for timestamp it was 19!=14, and for date it was 8!=10. Length mismatch causes a table copy. Also, clean up a place where a comparison function alters one of its parameters and replace it with an assertion of the condition it mutates.	17 years ago

Solution is to add a new function for explaining what the filename means: explain_filename. It expands the database, table, partition and subpartition parts and uses errmsg.txt for localization. Nurnberg	2ba60c19c3	Bug#39200: optimize table does not recognize ROW_FORMAT=COMPRESSED When doing ALTER TABLE, we forgot to point out that we actually have ROW_FORMAT information (from the original table), so we dropped to "sensible defaults". This affects both ALTER TABLE and OPTIMIZE TABLE which may fall back on ALTER TABLE for InnoDB. We now flag that we do indeed know the row-type, thereby preserving compression-type etc. No .test in 5.1 since we'd need a reasonable new plugin from InnoDB to show this properly; in higher versions, maria can demonstrate this. sql/sql_table.cc: In mysql_alter_table() flag that we have row-type info from old table. In compare_tables(), we must explicitly check whether row-type has changed (rather than rely on the flag which will always be set at this point now).	17 years ago

He Zhenxing	51a9116638	BUG#37145 Killing a statement doing DDL may log binlog event with error code 1053 When the thread executing a DDL was killed after finished its execution but before writing the binlog event, the error code in the binlog event could be set wrongly to ER_SERVER_SHUTDOWN or ER_QUERY_INTERRUPTED. This patch fixed the problem by ignoring the kill status when constructing the event for DDL statements. This patch also included the following changes in order to provide the test case. 1) modified mysqltest to support variable for connection command 2) modified mysql-test-run.pl, add new variable MYSQL_SLAVE to run mysql client against the slave mysqld.	17 years ago

Also, the warning text was hard coded, and therefore not translated. This implements it in the partitioning handler. Since this is only used by the not included InnoDB plugin, there is no test case. (Have tested it manually with the plugin, and it does not allow unique indexes not including partitioning function, or removal of pk, which in innodb generates a new pk, which is not in the partitioning function.) NOTE: This introduces a new handler method, and because of that changes the storage engine api. (One cannot use a handlerton to see the capabilities of a table's handler if it is partitioned. So I added a wrapper function in the handler that defaults to the handlerton function, which the partitioning handler overrides. sql/ha_partition.cc: Bug#37453: Dropping/creating index on partitioned table with InnoDB Plugin locks table Added support for fast/on-line add/drop index.
