  386. Version 2, June 1991
  387. Copyright (C) 1989, 1991 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
  388. 51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA 02110-1335 USA
  389. Everyone is permitted to copy and distribute verbatim copies
  390. of this license document, but changing it is not allowed.
  391. Preamble
  392. The licenses for most software are designed to take away your freedom to share
  393. and change it. By contrast, the GNU General Public License is intended to
  394. guarantee your freedom to share and change free software--to make sure the
  395. software is free for all its users. This General Public License applies to most
  396. of the Free Software Foundation's software and to any other program whose
  397. authors commit to using it. (Some other Free Software Foundation software is
  398. covered by the GNU Lesser General Public License instead.) You can apply it to
  399. your programs, too.
  400. When we speak of free software, we are referring to freedom, not price. Our
  401. General Public Licenses are designed to make sure that you have the freedom to
  402. distribute copies of free software (and charge for this service if you wish),
  403. that you receive source code or can get it if you want it, that you can change
  404. the software or use pieces of it in new free programs; and that you know you can
  405. do these things.
  406. To protect your rights, we need to make restrictions that forbid anyone to deny
  407. you these rights or to ask you to surrender the rights. These restrictions
  408. translate to certain responsibilities for you if you distribute copies of the
  409. software, or if you modify it.
  410. For example, if you distribute copies of such a program, whether gratis or for a
  411. fee, you must give the recipients all the rights that you have. You must make
  412. sure that they, too, receive or can get the source code. And you must show them
  413. these terms so they know their rights.
  414. We protect your rights with two steps: (1) copyright the software, and (2) offer
  415. you this license which gives you legal permission to copy, distribute and/or
  416. modify the software.
  417. Also, for each author's protection and ours, we want to make certain that
  418. everyone understands that there is no warranty for this free software. If the
  419. software is modified by someone else and passed on, we want its recipients to
  420. know that what they have is not the original, so that any problems introduced by
  421. others will not reflect on the original authors' reputations.
  422. Finally, any free program is threatened constantly by software patents. We wish
  423. to avoid the danger that redistributors of a free program will individually
  424. obtain patent licenses, in effect making the program proprietary. To prevent
  425. this, we have made it clear that any patent must be licensed for everyone's free
  426. use or not licensed at all.
  427. The precise terms and conditions for copying, distribution and modification follow.
  428. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR COPYING, DISTRIBUTION AND MODIFICATION
  429. 0. This License applies to any program or other work which contains a notice
  430. placed by the copyright holder saying it may be distributed under the terms of
  431. this General Public License. The "Program", below, refers to any such program or
  432. work, and a "work based on the Program" means either the Program or any
  433. derivative work under copyright law: that is to say, a work containing the
  434. Program or a portion of it, either verbatim or with modifications and/or
  435. translated into another language. (Hereinafter, translation is included without
  436. limitation in the term "modification".) Each licensee is addressed as "you".
  437. Activities other than copying, distribution and modification are not covered by
  438. this License; they are outside its scope. The act of running the Program is not
  439. restricted, and the output from the Program is covered only if its contents
  440. constitute a work based on the Program (independent of having been made by
  441. running the Program). Whether that is true depends on what the Program does.
  442. 1. You may copy and distribute verbatim copies of the Program's source code as
  443. you receive it, in any medium, provided that you conspicuously and appropriately
  444. publish on each copy an appropriate copyright notice and disclaimer of warranty;
  445. keep intact all the notices that refer to this License and to the absence of any
  446. warranty; and give any other recipients of the Program a copy of this License
  447. along with the Program.
  448. You may charge a fee for the physical act of transferring a copy, and you may at
  449. your option offer warranty protection in exchange for a fee.
  450. 2. You may modify your copy or copies of the Program or any portion of it, thus
  451. forming a work based on the Program, and copy and distribute such modifications
  452. or work under the terms of Section 1 above, provided that you also meet all of
  453. these conditions:
  454. a) You must cause the modified files to carry prominent notices stating that
  455. you changed the files and the date of any change.
  456. b) You must cause any work that you distribute or publish, that in whole or
  457. in part contains or is derived from the Program or any part thereof, to be
  458. licensed as a whole at no charge to all third parties under the terms of this
  459. License.
  460. c) If the modified program normally reads commands interactively when run,
  461. you must cause it, when started running for such interactive use in the most
  462. ordinary way, to print or display an announcement including an appropriate
  463. copyright notice and a notice that there is no warranty (or else, saying that
  464. you provide a warranty) and that users may redistribute the program under these
  465. conditions, and telling the user how to view a copy of this License. (Exception:
  466. if the Program itself is interactive but does not normally print such an
  467. announcement, your work based on the Program is not required to print an
  468. announcement.)
  469. These requirements apply to the modified work as a whole. If identifiable
  470. sections of that work are not derived from the Program, and can be reasonably
  471. considered independent and separate works in themselves, then this License, and
  472. its terms, do not apply to those sections when you distribute them as separate
  473. works. But when you distribute the same sections as part of a whole which is a
  474. work based on the Program, the distribution of the whole must be on the terms of
  475. this License, whose permissions for other licensees extend to the entire whole,
  476. and thus to each and every part regardless of who wrote it.
  477. Thus, it is not the intent of this section to claim rights or contest your
  478. rights to work written entirely by you; rather, the intent is to exercise the
  479. right to control the distribution of derivative or collective works based on the
  480. Program.
  481. In addition, mere aggregation of another work not based on the Program with the
  482. Program (or with a work based on the Program) on a volume of a storage or
  483. distribution medium does not bring the other work under the scope of this License.
  484. 3. You may copy and distribute the Program (or a work based on it, under Section
  485. 2) in object code or executable form under the terms of Sections 1 and 2 above
  486. provided that you also do one of the following:
  487. a) Accompany it with the complete corresponding machine-readable source
  488. code, which must be distributed under the terms of Sections 1 and 2 above on a
  489. medium customarily used for software interchange; or,
  490. b) Accompany it with a written offer, valid for at least three years, to
  491. give any third party, for a charge no more than your cost of physically
  492. performing source distribution, a complete machine-readable copy of the
  493. corresponding source code, to be distributed under the terms of Sections 1 and 2
  494. above on a medium customarily used for software interchange; or,
  495. c) Accompany it with the information you received as to the offer to
  496. distribute corresponding source code. (This alternative is allowed only for
  497. noncommercial distribution and only if you received the program in object code
  498. or executable form with such an offer, in accord with Subsection b above.)
  499. The source code for a work means the preferred form of the work for making
  500. modifications to it. For an executable work, complete source code means all the
  501. source code for all modules it contains, plus any associated interface
  502. definition files, plus the scripts used to control compilation and installation
  503. of the executable. However, as a special exception, the source code distributed
  504. need not include anything that is normally distributed (in either source or
  505. binary form) with the major components (compiler, kernel, and so on) of the
  506. operating system on which the executable runs, unless that component itself
  507. accompanies the executable.
  508. If distribution of executable or object code is made by offering access to copy
  509. from a designated place, then offering equivalent access to copy the source code
  510. from the same place counts as distribution of the source code, even though third
  511. parties are not compelled to copy the source along with the object code.
  512. 4. You may not copy, modify, sublicense, or distribute the Program except as
  513. expressly provided under this License. Any attempt otherwise to copy, modify,
  514. sublicense or distribute the Program is void, and will automatically terminate
  515. your rights under this License. However, parties who have received copies, or
  516. rights, from you under this License will not have their licenses terminated so
  517. long as such parties remain in full compliance.
  518. 5. You are not required to accept this License, since you have not signed it.
  519. However, nothing else grants you permission to modify or distribute the Program
  520. or its derivative works. These actions are prohibited by law if you do not
  521. accept this License. Therefore, by modifying or distributing the Program (or any
  522. work based on the Program), you indicate your acceptance of this License to do
  523. so, and all its terms and conditions for copying, distributing or modifying the
  524. Program or works based on it.
  525. 6. Each time you redistribute the Program (or any work based on the Program),
  526. the recipient automatically receives a license from the original licensor to
  527. copy, distribute or modify the Program subject to these terms and conditions.
  528. You may not impose any further restrictions on the recipients' exercise of the
  529. rights granted herein. You are not responsible for enforcing compliance by third
  530. parties to this License.
  531. 7. If, as a consequence of a court judgment or allegation of patent infringement
  532. or for any other reason (not limited to patent issues), conditions are imposed
  533. on you (whether by court order, agreement or otherwise) that contradict the
  534. conditions of this License, they do not excuse you from the conditions of this
  535. License. If you cannot distribute so as to satisfy simultaneously your
  536. obligations under this License and any other pertinent obligations, then as a
  537. consequence you may not distribute the Program at all. For example, if a patent
  538. license would not permit royalty-free redistribution of the Program by all those
  539. who receive copies directly or indirectly through you, then the only way you
  540. could satisfy both it and this License would be to refrain entirely from
  541. distribution of the Program.
  542. If any portion of this section is held invalid or unenforceable under any
  543. particular circumstance, the balance of the section is intended to apply and the
  544. section as a whole is intended to apply in other circumstances.
  545. It is not the purpose of this section to induce you to infringe any patents or
  546. other property right claims or to contest validity of any such claims; this
  547. section has the sole purpose of protecting the integrity of the free software
  548. distribution system, which is implemented by public license practices. Many
  549. people have made generous contributions to the wide range of software
  550. distributed through that system in reliance on consistent application of that
  551. system; it is up to the author/donor to decide if he or she is willing to
  552. distribute software through any other system and a licensee cannot impose that
  553. choice.
  554. This section is intended to make thoroughly clear what is believed to be a
  555. consequence of the rest of this License.
  556. 8. If the distribution and/or use of the Program is restricted in certain
  557. countries either by patents or by copyrighted interfaces, the original copyright
  558. holder who places the Program under this License may add an explicit
  559. geographical distribution limitation excluding those countries, so that
  560. distribution is permitted only in or among countries not thus excluded. In such
  561. case, this License incorporates the limitation as if written in the body of this
  562. License.
  563. 9. The Free Software Foundation may publish revised and/or new versions of the
  564. General Public License from time to time. Such new versions will be similar in
  565. spirit to the present version, but may differ in detail to address new problems
  566. or concerns.
  567. Each version is given a distinguishing version number. If the Program specifies
  568. a version number of this License which applies to it and "any later version",
  569. you have the option of following the terms and conditions either of that version
  570. or of any later version published by the Free Software Foundation. If the
  571. Program does not specify a version number of this License, you may choose any
  572. version ever published by the Free Software Foundation.
  573. 10. If you wish to incorporate parts of the Program into other free programs
  574. whose distribution conditions are different, write to the author to ask for
  575. permission. For software which is copyrighted by the Free Software Foundation,
  576. write to the Free Software Foundation; we sometimes make exceptions for this.
  577. Our decision will be guided by the two goals of preserving the free status of
  578. all derivatives of our free software and of promoting the sharing and reuse of
  579. software generally.
  580. NO WARRANTY
  581. 11. BECAUSE THE PROGRAM IS LICENSED FREE OF CHARGE, THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE
  582. PROGRAM, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. EXCEPT WHEN OTHERWISE STATED
  583. IN WRITING THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS AND/OR OTHER PARTIES PROVIDE THE PROGRAM "AS
  584. IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT
  585. NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
  586. PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE
  587. PROGRAM IS WITH YOU. SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE COST OF
  588. ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION.
  589. 12. IN NO EVENT UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW OR AGREED TO IN WRITING WILL
  590. ANY COPYRIGHT HOLDER, OR ANY OTHER PARTY WHO MAY MODIFY AND/OR REDISTRIBUTE THE
  591. PROGRAM AS PERMITTED ABOVE, BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY GENERAL,
  592. SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY
  593. TO USE THE PROGRAM (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR DATA BEING
  594. RENDERED INACCURATE OR LOSSES SUSTAINED BY YOU OR THIRD PARTIES OR A FAILURE OF
  595. THE PROGRAM TO OPERATE WITH ANY OTHER PROGRAMS), EVEN IF SUCH HOLDER OR OTHER
  596. PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
  597. END OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  598. How to Apply These Terms to Your New Programs
  599. If you develop a new program, and you want it to be of the greatest possible use
  600. to the public, the best way to achieve this is to make it free software which
  601. everyone can redistribute and change under these terms.
  602. To do so, attach the following notices to the program. It is safest to attach
  603. them to the start of each source file to most effectively convey the exclusion
  604. of warranty; and each file should have at least the "copyright" line and a
  605. pointer to where the full notice is found.
  606. one line to give the program's name and an idea of what it does.
  607. Copyright (C) yyyy name of author
  608. This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or
  609. modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License
  610. as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2
  611. of the License, or (at your option) any later version.
  612. This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful,
  613. but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of
  614. MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the
  615. GNU General Public License for more details.
  616. You should have received a copy of the GNU General Public License
  617. along with this program; if not, write to the Free Software
  618. Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA 02110-1335 USA.
  619. Also add information on how to contact you by electronic and paper mail.
  620. If the program is interactive, make it output a short notice like this when it
  621. starts in an interactive mode:
  622. Gnomovision version 69, Copyright (C) year name of author
  623. Gnomovision comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY; for details
  624. type `show w'. This is free software, and you are welcome
  625. to redistribute it under certain conditions; type `show c'
  626. for details.
  627. The hypothetical commands `show w' and `show c' should show the appropriate
  628. parts of the General Public License. Of course, the commands you use may be
  629. called something other than `show w' and `show c'; they could even be
  630. mouse-clicks or menu items--whatever suits your program.
  631. You should also get your employer (if you work as a programmer) or your school,
  632. if any, to sign a "copyright disclaimer" for the program, if necessary. Here is
  633. a sample; alter the names:
  634. Yoyodyne, Inc., hereby disclaims all copyright
  635. interest in the program `Gnomovision'
  636. (which makes passes at compilers) written
  637. by James Hacker.
  638. signature of Ty Coon, 1 April 1989
  639. Ty Coon, President of Vice
  640. This General Public License does not permit incorporating your program into
  641. proprietary programs. If your program is a subroutine library, you may consider
  642. it more useful to permit linking proprietary applications with the library. If
  643. this is what you want to do, use the GNU Lesser General Public License instead
  644. of this License.
  645. Additional Documentation License(s)
  646. innochecksum.c is documented in the MySQL Reference
  647. Manual at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/innochecksum.html
  648. The Reference Manual is not licensed under the GPL; rather, it
  649. is offered under normal copyright, but with permission to
  650. copy/redistribute electronically.

  711. Please send corrections to this web page to the time zone mailing list.
  712. The tz database
  713. The public-domain time zone database contains code and data that represent the
  714. history of local time for many representative locations around the globe. It is
  715. updated periodically to reflect changes made by political bodies to time zone
  716. boundaries, UTC offsets, and daylight-saving rules. This database (often called
  717. tz or zoneinfo) is used by several implementations, including the GNU C Library
  718. used in GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Cygwin, DJGPP, HP-UX, IRIX, Mac OS
  719. X, OpenVMS, Solaris, Tru64, and UnixWare.
  720. Each location in the database represents a national region where all clocks
  721. keeping local time have agreed since 1970. Locations are identified by continent
  722. or ocean and then by the name of the location, which is typically the largest
  723. city within the region. For example, America/New_York represents most of the US
  724. eastern time zone; America/Phoenix represents most of Arizona, which uses
  725. mountain time without daylight saving time (DST); America/Detroit represents
  726. most of Michigan, which uses eastern time but with different DST rules in 1975;
  727. and other entries represent smaller regions like Starke County, Indiana, which
  728. switched from central to eastern time in 1991 and switched back in 2006. To use
  729. the database on an extended POSIX implementation set the TZ environment variable
  730. to the location's full name, e.g., TZ="America/New_York".
  731. In the tz database's FTP distribution the code is in the file tzcodeC.tar.gz,
  732. where C is the code's version; similarly, the data are in tzdataD.tar.gz, where
  733. D is the data's version. The following shell commands download these files to a
  734. GNU/Linux or similar host; see the downloaded README file for what to do next.
  735. wget 'ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/tz*.tar.gz'
  736. gzip -dc tzcode*.tar.gz | tar -xf -
  737. gzip -dc tzdata*.tar.gz | tar -xf -
  738. The code lets you compile the tz source files into machine-readable binary
  739. files, one for each location. It also lets you read a tz binary file and
  740. interpret time stamps for that location.
  741. The data are by no means authoritative. If you find errors, please send changes
  742. to the time zone mailing list. You can also subscribe to the mailing list,
  743. retrieve the archive of old messages (in gzip compressed format), or retrieve
  744. archived older versions of code and data; there is also a smaller HTTP mirror.

  1029. GNU Readline
1030. Use of any of this software is governed by the terms of the license below:
  1031. GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE
  1032. Version 2, June 1991
  1033. Copyright (C) 1989, 1991 Free Software Foundation, Inc.,
1034. 51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA 02110-1335 USA
1035. Everyone is permitted to copy and distribute verbatim copies
1036. of this license document, but changing it is not allowed.
  1037. Preamble
1038. The licenses for most software are designed to take away your
1039. freedom to share and change it. By contrast, the GNU General Public
1040. License is intended to guarantee your freedom to share and change free
1041. software--to make sure the software is free for all its users. This
1042. General Public License applies to most of the Free Software
1043. Foundation's software and to any other program whose authors commit to
1044. using it. (Some other Free Software Foundation software is covered by
1045. the GNU Lesser General Public License instead.) You can apply it to
  1046. your programs, too.
1047. When we speak of free software, we are referring to freedom, not
1048. price. Our General Public Licenses are designed to make sure that you
1049. have the freedom to distribute copies of free software (and charge for
1050. this service if you wish), that you receive source code or can get it
1051. if you want it, that you can change the software or use pieces of it
1052. in new free programs; and that you know you can do these things.
1053. To protect your rights, we need to make restrictions that forbid
1054. anyone to deny you these rights or to ask you to surrender the rights.
1055. These restrictions translate to certain responsibilities for you if you
1056. distribute copies of the software, or if you modify it.
1057. For example, if you distribute copies of such a program, whether
1058. gratis or for a fee, you must give the recipients all the rights that
1059. you have. You must make sure that they, too, receive or can get the
1060. source code. And you must show them these terms so they know their
  1061. rights.
1062. We protect your rights with two steps: (1) copyright the software, and
1063. (2) offer you this license which gives you legal permission to copy,
1064. distribute and/or modify the software.
1065. Also, for each author's protection and ours, we want to make certain
1066. that everyone understands that there is no warranty for this free
1067. software. If the software is modified by someone else and passed on, we
1068. want its recipients to know that what they have is not the original, so
1069. that any problems introduced by others will not reflect on the original
  1070. authors' reputations.
1071. Finally, any free program is threatened constantly by software
1072. patents. We wish to avoid the danger that redistributors of a free
1073. program will individually obtain patent licenses, in effect making the
1074. program proprietary. To prevent this, we have made it clear that any
1075. patent must be licensed for everyone's free use or not licensed at all.
1076. The precise terms and conditions for copying, distribution and
  1077. modification follow.
  1078. GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE
1079. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR COPYING, DISTRIBUTION AND MODIFICATION
1080. 0. This License applies to any program or other work which contains
1081. a notice placed by the copyright holder saying it may be distributed
1082. under the terms of this General Public License. The "Program", below,
1083. refers to any such program or work, and a "work based on the Program"
1084. means either the Program or any derivative work under copyright law:
1085. that is to say, a work containing the Program or a portion of it,
1086. either verbatim or with modifications and/or translated into another
1087. language. (Hereinafter, translation is included without limitation in
1088. the term "modification".) Each licensee is addressed as "you".
1089. Activities other than copying, distribution and modification are not
1090. covered by this License; they are outside its scope. The act of
1091. running the Program is not restricted, and the output from the Program
1092. is covered only if its contents constitute a work based on the
1093. Program (independent of having been made by running the Program).
1094. Whether that is true depends on what the Program does.
1095. 1. You may copy and distribute verbatim copies of the Program's
1096. source code as you receive it, in any medium, provided that you
1097. conspicuously and appropriately publish on each copy an appropriate
1098. copyright notice and disclaimer of warranty; keep intact all the
  1099. notices that refer to this License and to the absence of any warranty;
1100. and give any other recipients of the Program a copy of this License
  1101. along with the Program.
1102. You may charge a fee for the physical act of transferring a copy, and
1103. you may at your option offer warranty protection in exchange for a fee.
1104. 2. You may modify your copy or copies of the Program or any portion
1105. of it, thus forming a work based on the Program, and copy and
1106. distribute such modifications or work under the terms of Section 1
1107. above, provided that you also meet all of these conditions:
1108. a) You must cause the modified files to carry prominent notices
1109. stating that you changed the files and the date of any change.
1110. b) You must cause any work that you distribute or publish, that in
1111. whole or in part contains or is derived from the Program or any
1112. part thereof, to be licensed as a whole at no charge to all third
1113. parties under the terms of this License.
1114. c) If the modified program normally reads commands interactively
1115. when run, you must cause it, when started running for such
1116. interactive use in the most ordinary way, to print or display an
1117. announcement including an appropriate copyright notice and a
1118. notice that there is no warranty (or else, saying that you provide
1119. a warranty) and that users may redistribute the program under
1120. these conditions, and telling the user how to view a copy of this
1121. License. (Exception: if the Program itself is interactive but
1122. does not normally print such an announcement, your work based on
1123. the Program is not required to print an announcement.)
1124. These requirements apply to the modified work as a whole. If
1125. identifiable sections of that work are not derived from the Program,
1126. and can be reasonably considered independent and separate works in
1127. themselves, then this License, and its terms, do not apply to those
1128. sections when you distribute them as separate works. But when you
1129. distribute the same sections as part of a whole which is a work based
1130. on the Program, the distribution of the whole must be on the terms of
1131. this License, whose permissions for other licensees extend to the
1132. entire whole, and thus to each and every part regardless of who wrote it.
1133. Thus, it is not the intent of this section to claim rights or contest
1134. your rights to work written entirely by you; rather, the intent is to
1135. exercise the right to control the distribution of derivative or
1136. collective works based on the Program.
1137. In addition, mere aggregation of another work not based on the Program
1138. with the Program (or with a work based on the Program) on a volume of
1139. a storage or distribution medium does not bring the other work under
1140. the scope of this License.
1141. 3. You may copy and distribute the Program (or a work based on it,
1142. under Section 2) in object code or executable form under the terms of
1143. Sections 1 and 2 above provided that you also do one of the following:
1144. a) Accompany it with the complete corresponding machine-readable
1145. source code, which must be distributed under the terms of Sections
1146. 1 and 2 above on a medium customarily used for software interchange; or,
1147. b) Accompany it with a written offer, valid for at least three
1148. years, to give any third party, for a charge no more than your
1149. cost of physically performing source distribution, a complete
1150. machine-readable copy of the corresponding source code, to be
1151. distributed under the terms of Sections 1 and 2 above on a medium
1152. customarily used for software interchange; or,
1153. c) Accompany it with the information you received as to the offer
1154. to distribute corresponding source code. (This alternative is
1155. allowed only for noncommercial distribution and only if you
1156. received the program in object code or executable form with such
1157. an offer, in accord with Subsection b above.)
1158. The source code for a work means the preferred form of the work for
1159. making modifications to it. For an executable work, complete source
1160. code means all the source code for all modules it contains, plus any
1161. associated interface definition files, plus the scripts used to
1162. control compilation and installation of the executable. However, as a
1163. special exception, the source code distributed need not include
1164. anything that is normally distributed (in either source or binary
1165. form) with the major components (compiler, kernel, and so on) of the
1166. operating system on which the executable runs, unless that component
  1167. itself accompanies the executable.
1168. If distribution of executable or object code is made by offering
1169. access to copy from a designated place, then offering equivalent
1170. access to copy the source code from the same place counts as
1171. distribution of the source code, even though third parties are not
1172. compelled to copy the source along with the object code.
1173. 4. You may not copy, modify, sublicense, or distribute the Program
1174. except as expressly provided under this License. Any attempt
1175. otherwise to copy, modify, sublicense or distribute the Program is
1176. void, and will automatically terminate your rights under this License.
1177. However, parties who have received copies, or rights, from you under
1178. this License will not have their licenses terminated so long as such
1179. parties remain in full compliance.
1180. 5. You are not required to accept this License, since you have not
1181. signed it. However, nothing else grants you permission to modify or
1182. distribute the Program or its derivative works. These actions are
1183. prohibited by law if you do not accept this License. Therefore, by
1184. modifying or distributing the Program (or any work based on the
1185. Program), you indicate your acceptance of this License to do so, and
1186. all its terms and conditions for copying, distributing or modifying
1187. the Program or works based on it.
1188. 6. Each time you redistribute the Program (or any work based on the
1189. Program), the recipient automatically receives a license from the
1190. original licensor to copy, distribute or modify the Program subject to
1191. these terms and conditions. You may not impose any further
1192. restrictions on the recipients' exercise of the rights granted herein.
1193. You are not responsible for enforcing compliance by third parties to
  1194. this License.
1195. 7. If, as a consequence of a court judgment or allegation of patent
1196. infringement or for any other reason (not limited to patent issues),
1197. conditions are imposed on you (whether by court order, agreement or
1198. otherwise) that contradict the conditions of this License, they do not
1199. excuse you from the conditions of this License. If you cannot
1200. distribute so as to satisfy simultaneously your obligations under this
1201. License and any other pertinent obligations, then as a consequence you
1202. may not distribute the Program at all. For example, if a patent
1203. license would not permit royalty-free redistribution of the Program by
1204. all those who receive copies directly or indirectly through you, then
1205. the only way you could satisfy both it and this License would be to
1206. refrain entirely from distribution of the Program.
1207. If any portion of this section is held invalid or unenforceable under
1208. any particular circumstance, the balance of the section is intended to
1209. apply and the section as a whole is intended to apply in other
  1210. circumstances.
1211. It is not the purpose of this section to induce you to infringe any
1212. patents or other property right claims or to contest validity of any
1213. such claims; this section has the sole purpose of protecting the
1214. integrity of the free software distribution system, which is
1215. implemented by public license practices. Many people have made
1216. generous contributions to the wide range of software distributed
1217. through that system in reliance on consistent application of that
1218. system; it is up to the author/donor to decide if he or she is willing
1219. to distribute software through any other system and a licensee cannot
  1220. impose that choice.
1221. This section is intended to make thoroughly clear what is believed to
1222. be a consequence of the rest of this License.
1223. 8. If the distribution and/or use of the Program is restricted in
1224. certain countries either by patents or by copyrighted interfaces, the
1225. original copyright holder who places the Program under this License
1226. may add an explicit geographical distribution limitation excluding
1227. those countries, so that distribution is permitted only in or among
1228. countries not thus excluded. In such case, this License incorporates
1229. the limitation as if written in the body of this License.
1230. 9. The Free Software Foundation may publish revised and/or new versions
1231. of the General Public License from time to time. Such new versions will
1232. be similar in spirit to the present version, but may differ in detail to
1233. address new problems or concerns.
1234. Each version is given a distinguishing version number. If the Program
1235. specifies a version number of this License which applies to it and "any
1236. later version", you have the option of following the terms and conditions
1237. either of that version or of any later version published by the Free
1238. Software Foundation. If the Program does not specify a version number of
1239. this License, you may choose any version ever published by the Free Software
  1240. Foundation.
1241. 10. If you wish to incorporate parts of the Program into other free
1242. programs whose distribution conditions are different, write to the author
1243. to ask for permission. For software which is copyrighted by the Free
1244. Software Foundation, write to the Free Software Foundation; we sometimes
1245. make exceptions for this. Our decision will be guided by the two goals
1246. of preserving the free status of all derivatives of our free software and
1247. of promoting the sharing and reuse of software generally.
  1248. NO WARRANTY
1249. 11. BECAUSE THE PROGRAM IS LICENSED FREE OF CHARGE, THERE IS NO WARRANTY
1250. FOR THE PROGRAM, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. EXCEPT WHEN
1251. OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS AND/OR OTHER PARTIES
1252. PROVIDE THE PROGRAM "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED
1253. OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
1254. MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE ENTIRE RISK AS
1255. TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PROGRAM IS WITH YOU. SHOULD THE
1256. PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING,
  1257. REPAIR OR CORRECTION.
1258. 12. IN NO EVENT UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW OR AGREED TO IN WRITING
1259. WILL ANY COPYRIGHT HOLDER, OR ANY OTHER PARTY WHO MAY MODIFY AND/OR
1260. REDISTRIBUTE THE PROGRAM AS PERMITTED ABOVE, BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR DAMAGES,
1261. INCLUDING ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING
1262. OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PROGRAM (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED
1263. TO LOSS OF DATA OR DATA BEING RENDERED INACCURATE OR LOSSES SUSTAINED BY
1264. YOU OR THIRD PARTIES OR A FAILURE OF THE PROGRAM TO OPERATE WITH ANY OTHER
1265. PROGRAMS), EVEN IF SUCH HOLDER OR OTHER PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE
  1266. POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
1267. END OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1268. How to Apply These Terms to Your New Programs
1269. If you develop a new program, and you want it to be of the greatest
1270. possible use to the public, the best way to achieve this is to make it
1271. free software which everyone can redistribute and change under these terms.
1272. To do so, attach the following notices to the program. It is safest
1273. to attach them to the start of each source file to most effectively
1274. convey the exclusion of warranty; and each file should have at least
1275. the "copyright" line and a pointer to where the full notice is found.
  1276. Copyright (C)
1277. This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify
1278. it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
1279. the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or
1280. (at your option) any later version.
1281. This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful,
1282. but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of
1283. MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the
1284. GNU General Public License for more details.
1285. You should have received a copy of the GNU General Public License along
1286. with this program; if not, write to the Free Software Foundation, Inc.,
1287. 51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA 02110-1335 USA.
1288. Also add information on how to contact you by electronic and paper mail.
1289. If the program is interactive, make it output a short notice like this
1290. when it starts in an interactive mode:
1291. Gnomovision version 69, Copyright (C) year name of author
1292. Gnomovision comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY; for details type `show w'.
1293. This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it
1294. under certain conditions; type `show c' for details.
1295. The hypothetical commands `show w' and `show c' should show the appropriate
1296. parts of the General Public License. Of course, the commands you use may
1297. be called something other than `show w' and `show c'; they could even be
1298. mouse-clicks or menu items--whatever suits your program.
1299. You should also get your employer (if you work as a programmer) or your
1300. school, if any, to sign a "copyright disclaimer" for the program, if
1301. necessary. Here is a sample; alter the names:
1302. Yoyodyne, Inc., hereby disclaims all copyright interest in the program
1303. `Gnomovision' (which makes passes at compilers) written by James Hacker.
  1304. , 1 April 1989
1305. Ty Coon, President of Vice
1306. This General Public License does not permit incorporating your program into
1307. proprietary programs. If your program is a subroutine library, you may
1308. consider it more useful to permit linking proprietary applications with the
1309. library. If this is what you want to do, use the GNU Lesser General
1310. Public License instead of this License.
