"self" parameters are also explicitly marked, allowing inspect.Signature() to authoritatively detect (and skip) said parameters. Issue #20326: Argument Clinic now generates separate checksums for the input and output sections of the block, allowing external tools to verify that the input has not changed (and thus the output is not out-of-date).	12 years ago

Note that test_sys fails when Python is compiled without threads, but for an unrelated reason (the old test_exit() fails with an indirect ImportError on the `thread` module). There are also other unrelated compilation failures without threads, in extension modules (like ctypes); at least the core compiles again. Do we really support --without-threads? Not terribly tested, but very carefully scrutinized, three times. All these were found by the little findkrc.py that I posted to python-dev, which means there might be more lurking. Cases such as this: long func(a, b) long a; long b; /* flagword */ { and other cases where the last ; in the argument list isn't followed by a newline and an opening curly bracket.
